On… things.

Hi, this is your friendly web-host and boring person.

I’ve got a few points I’d like to discuss:

  • The forums used to have 30+ accounts with no posts. With creative names. They no longer exist.
  • Sendmail is broken. This means no e-mail notifications, ever. Yes, I’ve tried fixing it repeatedly, and it’s not being cooperative. It’s also been broken for 6 months or so.
  • GPiO is now offering a multi-project bug tracker. If someone here wants a project set up for SSNT, just yell.
  • The various SSNT demos does generally compile as Managed C++ too, which means that with some work and cooperation, you can be extending stuff from a non-awful language like C#. Yes, I just called C++ awful, and I mean it.
  • There’s been no engine developments in over a year. Nerdfish says it’ll resume when he’s done with school, or something. Good luck. I am not responsible as usual.
  • Lastly, the SSNT site (and, as far as I’m concerned, the project - there was no code before the site went up) is now approximately five years, four months and two days old. Congratulations!

That is all.

Edit:
Yes, we’re still here. I culled another 15 accounts from the forum. No, there are no news.

A fitting way to update in the month I become a year older.

Yeah, I’ve been neglecting my duties as editor and co-author for years. Interestingly, a sudden turn of events finds me reconfiguring my space and finding/dusting off the one single printed manuscript that probably exists of Book One. Not only that, but I look at it with a twinkle in my eye.

No good will come until certain engineers and meteorologists get done with their bloody post-grads and doctorates, but the crazy masseuse is gonna try to refine him some STORY.

Sorry, Thorin. Your comment has been stuck in the queue since you posted it.

This is also an excellent place to point out that I’m not paying attention to the moderation queue - I found the comment while digging for the header quote listing.

    (No, nothing has happened lately.)
